Traveling to Northern Saskatewan

We are located 135 miles (217 km) northeast of LaRonge on Highway 102, an all-weather road. The first 20 miles (32 km) are paved, while the rest is gravel-surfaced. It is not a superhighway, but with a little caution it is easily passable with a sedan or station wagon. In fact, most of our guest choose to travel that way. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is not necessary for this road.

Gas is available at Mile 81 (130 km) (McLennan Lake) and Mile 136 (218 km) (Reindeer Lake Service, Southend).

Flying Information

Our Air Strip The nearest airport is LaRonge, a 5,000' paved runway. We also have a 2200' MOT-approved gravel airstrip near camp. Phone us for conditions.

Commercial Flights
Northwest Airlines, Air Canada and Canadian Regional Airlines all have daily flights into Saskatoon and Regina, including Northwest flights from Minneapolis. From Saskatoon or Regina, you can take an Athabasca Airways or LaRonge Aviation flight to LaRonge, and taxi or chartered plane from there to Nordic Lodge.

Or many of our guests rent a car in Saskatoon, buy their groceries there, and drive to Nordic Lodge (approximate driving time is 8 hours).
